# Manage Scenes

> Create, organize, and maintain 3D scenes from the Dashboard before editing them in Scene Manager.

The **3D Scene Editor** page manages scenes that open in **Scene Manager** for full editing.

## Viewing Scenes

Scenes are available in **Grid** and **List** view.

In Grid view, each card shows:

* The scene name
* A scene icon
* The last modified date and user
* A star toggle
* Quick actions on hover

In List view, the table includes:

* Star
* Scene name
* Last modified date
* Updated by
* Actions

## Scene Status

| Status       | Meaning                             |
| ------------ | ----------------------------------- |
| **Active**   | The scene can be opened for editing |
| **Inactive** | The scene is in a inactive state    |

## Creating a Scene

Use **Create 3D Scene** in the header to open the creation dialog.

The form includes:

* **Scene Name**
* **Organization**

After creation, Scene Manager opens the new scene in a new browser tab.

## Scene Actions

| Action                    | What It Does                                                      |
| ------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Open**                  | Opens the scene in Scene Manager in a new tab                     |
| **Star**                  | Adds the scene to your browser-stored favorites                   |
| **Properties**            | Renames the scene and shows its organization                      |
| **Clone**                 | Copies the scene with a new name and optional target organization |
| **Set Active / Inactive** | Changes the scene status                                          |
| **Delete**                | Permanently removes the scene after confirmation                  |

When deleting a scene, the confirmation warns that linked trainings may be affected.

## Filtering and Sorting

You can organize scenes by using:

* **Status** in the sidebar
* **Search** by scene name
* **Organization** selector for one organization or `All Orgs`
* **Sort** for recent, alphabetical, oldest, or starred results

## Editing a Scene

Selecting an active scene opens **Scene Manager**, which provides:

* Object placement and hierarchy editing
* Material and collider editing
* Timeline-based animation
* Scene properties and lighting controls
