# Profile and Pair Device

> Use the profile menu to change your photo, pair a device, and sign out.

Click your profile picture in the top-right corner of the header to open the profile menu.

The menu shows your picture, name, and email address, followed by:

* **Pair Device**
* **Sign Out**

## Change Your Profile Photo

1. Open the profile menu.
2. Click the **pencil** button on your picture.
3. In the **Edit Profile** dialog choose **Use Initials** or **Upload Photo (2D)**. **Use Initials** shows your initials instead of a photo. Your uploaded photo is kept, so you can switch back at any time.
4. For a photo, click **Upload** (or **Change photo** if you already have one), choose a PNG or JPEG image, drag to position it, adjust the **Zoom**, and click **Save Cropped Image**.
5. Click **Save**.

## Pair a Device

Pairing links a head-mounted display (HMD) running an Altoura app to your account.

1. On the device, open the Altoura app and choose the pairing option. The device shows a six-digit code.
2. In Scene Editor, open the profile menu and click **Pair Device**.
3. Type the six digits into the field. The code is checked as soon as the sixth digit is entered.
4. A green check mark and **Pairing is Successful** confirm that the device is paired. Press **Esc** or click outside the dialog to close it.

If the code is wrong or has expired, the field turns red and shows **Invalid code**. Codes expire after two minutes. Generate a new code on the device, then correct the digits and try again.

## Sign Out

Open the profile menu and click **Sign Out**. You are signed out and returned to the Altoura sign-in page. Save your work first. There is no warning, and unsaved changes are lost when you sign out.

## Theme and Language

Scene Editor uses a light theme. There are no theme or language options in the profile menu.
