# Supported Devices & Browsers

> Check browser compatibility, device requirements, and recommended setup for the Trainee App

The Trainee App runs entirely in your web browser — no downloads or installations required. Here's what you need for the best experience.

## Supported Browsers

**Recommended:**

* Google Chrome (latest version)
* Microsoft Edge (latest version)

**Also Supported:**

* Mozilla Firefox (latest version)
* Safari (latest version, macOS and iOS)

<Note>
  The Trainee App requires **WebGL 2.0** support for 3D rendering. Most modern browsers enable this by default. If you see a blank screen or error about 3D graphics, check that WebGL is enabled in your browser settings.
</Note>

## Supported Devices

**Desktop & Laptop**

* Windows 10 or later
* macOS 11 (Big Sur) or later
* Linux with a modern browser

**Tablets**

* iPad (Safari or Chrome)
* Android tablets (Chrome)

**Mobile Phones**

* Supported but not recommended for complex trainings — the smaller screen makes interacting with 3D objects more difficult
* Enable the **Virtual Joystick** in Settings for easier navigation on touch devices

**HMD Devices (via Pair Device)**

* HoloLens 2
* Meta Quest 2 / 3 / Pro
* HTC Vive

See [Pair Device](/creator-studio/trainee-app/pair-device) for setup instructions.

## Recommended Specifications

**Minimum:**

* 4 GB RAM
* Integrated graphics (Intel HD 620 or equivalent)
* Stable internet connection (5 Mbps+)

**Recommended for Best Performance:**

* 8 GB RAM or more
* Dedicated graphics card
* Stable internet connection (15 Mbps+)
* Large screen (13" or more) for comfortable interaction

## Tips for Best Performance

**Close Unnecessary Tabs** — 3D rendering uses significant memory. Close other browser tabs to free up resources.

**Use a Stable Connection** — Training assets (3D models, textures, audio) are streamed from the cloud. A slow or unstable connection causes long load times and potential disconnects.

**Maximize Your Browser** — A larger viewport gives you a better view of the 3D environment and makes interactions easier.

**Update Your Browser** — Always use the latest browser version for best WebGL compatibility and performance.

## Troubleshooting

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="The training shows a black screen or won't load 3D graphics">
    Your browser may not support WebGL or it might be disabled. Try updating your browser to the latest version. In Chrome, navigate to chrome://gpu to check if WebGL is enabled.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="The training is very slow or laggy">
    Close other browser tabs, disable browser extensions, and ensure you have a stable internet connection. If performance is still poor, try using Chrome or Edge which tend to have the best WebGL performance.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="I can't interact with objects on my phone">
    Mobile phones are supported but the small screen makes 3D interaction difficult. If possible, switch to a tablet or desktop. If you must use a phone, enable the Virtual Joystick and use landscape orientation.
