# Controls

> The buttons and hand gestures for using the Trainee Client on Meta Quest and HTC Vive.

This page lists every button and gesture in the Trainee Client. The pages linked in each row explain them in more detail.

    | Turn 90° | Push the **joystick** left or right |

    **Hand tracking**

    | Show or hide the Toolbelt menu | Touch the tips of both index fingers together to form an **"A"** |
    | Press a button or tap an object | Touch it with your finger, or point the ray at it and **pinch** |
    | Grab an object | **Pinch** or grab it, up close or with the ray |
    | Self teleport | Palm up, thumb and index finger out, other fingers curled; curl the index finger to teleport |

    **Voice commands**

    | "Reset Step" | Reset the current step (while looking or pointing at the Toolbelt menu) |

    Voice commands aren't available on Meta Quest.

## On Both Headsets

* **Look at a button:** you can also press **Next** and **Back** on the step panel by looking at them until they fill up (about 2 seconds). See [Training Interface](/creator-studio/trainee-client/training-interface).
* **Walk:** walking around within your play area moves you through the scene, the same as in real life.
* **Move the menu:** if the Toolbelt menu is out of view, show it again to bring it in front of you.
