Some tasks, such as handling hazardous or delicate materials, must be done slowly. When a Training tracks your speed, it measures how fast you move and alerts you if you go too fast. ## The Speed Bar While speed tracking is on, a speed bar appears in your view. It floats near the center of your view and follows your head. If a [time limit](/creator-studio/trainee-client/time-limit) is also running, the speed bar shows below the timer. The bar runs from green to red. A marker moves towards the red end as you move faster; when it reaches the end, you've reached the speed limit. The speed is measured from your **head**, your **hands** and your **controllers**. Whichever is moving fastest counts. Teleporting doesn't count as movement, and your speed isn't measured while the Training is paused or an alert is open. Some Trainings also show **particles** around you that increase as you move faster. The speed bar below the timer, with its marker near the red end, and particles floating around the trainee ## When You Move Too Fast When you reach the speed limit: * The Training pauses. * A red tint appears around the edges of your view, and an error sound plays. * An alert shows a message from the Training, with an **Okay** button. The speed alert reading You have moved too fast!! with an Okay button and a red tint around the view Tap **Okay**. What happens next depends on how the Training is set up: | Setting | What happens | | - | - | | **Let user continue** | The Training carries on. If you're still moving too fast, the alert appears again. | | **Restart step** | The Training goes back to the step where speed tracking started. | | **Restart training** | The Training starts again from the beginning. | Move slowly and smoothly, including your head.
