# v3.0.0

> A major Altoura Frontline platform release.

## A major platform release

This is a major release across the entire Altoura Frontline platform, with significant
new capabilities and improvements spanning **Web Authoring**, the **Remote Assist Analytics
Portal**, **HoloLens**, **iPad**, the **Teams App**, and enterprise deployment.

### Highlights

* **Customer Tenant Deployment** — Deploy the complete Frontline solution, including applications and Azure resources such as storage, directly into your own Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) tenant and Azure environment.
* **Procedure Analytics** — Track how procedures are used and executed.
* **Remote Expert Analytics** — Gain insight into Remote Expert sessions.
* **Voice Commands** — Navigate procedures hands-free with context-aware voice controls on HoloLens.
* **In-HMD Authoring** — Place and attach 3D models directly to procedure steps from within HoloLens.
* **Edit Object** — Reposition, adjust, and update 3D objects across the platform, in both Procedures and Remote Assist.
* **Procedure Import** — Import procedures from Dataverse and procedure packages.
* **Remote Expert enhancements** — Screen sharing, GLB sharing, improved drawing and annotations, arrow rotation, a built-in PDF viewer, and broader collaboration improvements.
* **Completely redesigned iPad experience** — New UI, an improved QR system, and support for the latest Frontline capabilities where applicable.
* **Platform improvements** — Better QR tracking, 3D model scaling, lighting, drawing accuracy, and overall stability.

<Warning>
  **Important migration notice.** With this release, procedure data storage has moved
  from Azure Blob Storage to Azure Cosmos DB. As a result:

  * Procedures created in previous versions are **not currently compatible** with the new storage format.
  * Please **create new procedures using the latest version** of Frontline.

<Note>
  **Known issue — 3D object import scale.** 3D objects that were exported **without meters as
  the unit of measurement** may import at an oversized scale, which can cause display and
  interaction issues. We're actively working on this, and a patch will follow shortly. In the
  meantime, we recommend exporting models using **meters** as the unit of measurement.

## Customer Tenant Deployment

You can now deploy the complete Altoura Frontline platform into your **own Microsoft Entra ID
(Azure AD) tenant and Azure environment** — including application services, storage, and
supporting cloud resources.

**What this gives you:**

* Customer-managed Microsoft Entra ID authentication
* Customer-owned application registrations
* Customer-managed Azure resources and storage
* Enterprise-grade security and governance
* Stronger alignment with your IT, compliance, and data residency requirements

This deployment model is supported across the full platform: Web Authoring, Remote Assist
Analytics Portal, HoloLens, iPad, and the Teams App.

## HoloLens

### Voice Commands

Hands-free voice controls to keep you moving through a procedure without touching the interface.

**Context-aware selection** — Gaze at a button or control and say **"Select"** to activate it.

**Global voice commands:**

**Follow Me panels** — Toggle between Follow Mode and Pinned Mode. In Follow Mode, panels stay
comfortably within your view as you move.

**Auto-facing panels** — Panels automatically turn to face you while moving, improving
readability and reducing manual repositioning.
