How Access Works

The Dashboard uses organization-based access control. What you can do depends on:
  1. Which organizations you belong to
  2. Your role in the currently selected organization
  3. Your permissions on individual items such as trainings, scenes, assets, and procedures

Organization Roles

RoleTypical Capabilities
Org AdminFull administrative access and broad content control
Portal / CreatorCreate and edit trainings, scenes, and assets
App AccessView and run training experiences
Procedure AdminCreate procedures and manage sharing
Procedure AccessView and run procedures

How Permissions Affect the Dashboard

Permissions control:
  • Which navigation items are visible
  • Whether Create actions are available
  • Which item-level actions appear in menus
  • Whether a clicked item opens in edit mode, viewer mode, or is blocked
If you switch to an organization where you do not have access to the current page, the Dashboard redirects you to the first accessible page.

Using All Orgs

When All Orgs is available and selected:
  • Content from all of your organizations is shown together
  • Create actions are available only where you have the required role
  • Permissions are still evaluated item by item

Switching Organizations

Use the organization selector in the header to switch between organizations. Changing organizations can change:
  • Visible navigation items
  • Available create actions
  • Which content appears in the current list
Your organization selection is saved in the browser and persists across sessions.

Organization During Content Creation

When creating a training, scene, procedure, or asset:
  • A specific selected organization is pre-filled
  • If All Orgs is selected, you choose a target organization from the organizations where you have write access
